Recycling as an everyday life habit
Although everyone has heard for recycling and knows its importance in environmental protection, most of us forget to apply it in everyday life. Recycling does not only mean reusing the same product or its parts, but also contributing to the preservation of a healthy and green environment.
In order to achieve that, it is primarily expected to change our life and work habits because only in that way can we start on the path of change. But before we start on the path of change, we must know how to begin. It is important, that from observers we become participants, as soon as possible, and step by step, through education, promotion and application of healthy living habits in everyday practice, we contribute to the progress of the community to which we belong.
Preserve nature means preserve its resources!
Every day we witness unscrupulous treatment of the environment where we belong. In the first place, it refers to an increase in harmful and waste products that pollute the human environment and which are treated extremely irresponsibly. Leaving waste on green areas, in forests and mountains, in rivers and lakes, seas and oceans, endangers the survival of the entire ecosystem. The negative consequences of such human actions are visible every day and at every step. Due to the pollution of green areas, the air we breathe and the water we drink, through the food we are taking, then also plant and animal species that suffer harmful effects caused by our ignorance and reckless behavior, all the above mentioned shows us that the future of the entire planet is in danger.
Pollution of the human environment is increasing every moment. Most of the waste that can be found on streets, parks and other public areas, the ground is not able to decompose naturally and turn into a useful and usable ingredient. Plastic bags that we use in supermarkets and other plastic-based packaging are often thrown out of the waste bin, which increases the amount of municipal waste that harms the human environment. Accompanying packaging, such as cans or food boxes based on foam or styrofoam, is also a waste that cannot be recycled naturally.
When other negative and harmful habits, that we are prone to, are added to that, the problems become even bigger and more complex.
All this and much more requires from us as individuals and communities to engage in solving the problems we face.
And that is why we believe that it is time to change the common present and future that we share on the planet by changing our living, working and eating habits!
Green habits to restore nature and the environment
Thinking ecologically and responsibly means respecting and adhering to healthy decisions and actions. There are many ways to achieve that. Each of us was taught as a child what to do and what not to do when it comes to preserving the environment. That is why we want to point out to each member of the local and global community to which we belong, the choices and decisions that each of us can adhere to, doing little for ourselves but much for the future and survival of present and future generations!
For this reason, the Flexitarian Foundation wants to contribute to the following:
- change of harmful living, change of working and eating habits of individuals and the community to which we belong in order to encourage positive changes in environmental protection;
- spreading environmental awareness, which should develop positive changes and environmentally motivated decisions in individuals and communities in order to reduce the use of non-degradable materials harmful to the human environment;
- encouraging concrete actions in order to preserve and protect the environment in everyday life and business practice.
By personal example to make positive changes!
A call for change without concrete action that does not yield positive results cannot contribute to solving the accumulated problems. By providing concrete help to the community to which we belong, our basic task is to, influence its members to spread our vision of a more beautiful, better and healthier planet by personal example.
Each of our actions has a direct or indirect impact on many aspects of everyday life and interpersonal relationships, because by our personal example we greatly influence on others and their behavior. In this way, the Flexitarian Foundation wants to influence on reducing the use of non-degradable materials that have negative effects on the environment, and encourage the community to use environmentally friendly materials in their daily lives.
If each of us does as much as we can, we will do much more together!
